For the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the largest spirits competition in the world with nearly 5,000 entries, Blue Run Trifecta Bourbon – one of Shaylyn’s newest, most lauded whiskeys – and Barmen 1873 Bourbon both scored an impressive 97 points, receiving Double Gold Medals. Blue Run High Rye Bourbon, the first Blue Run product launched in October 2020, continued to wow the judges with a 91 score and Gold Medal, making it a must-have staple for any bar cart. Blue Run Emerald Rye Whiskey Batch II scored a 91 and Gold Medal, as well.

The TAG Global Spirits Awards, founded by legendary mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, echoed those results with Blue Run High Rye Bourbon and Blue Run Emerald Rye Whiskey Batch II scoring 95 points, earning Platinum Finalist acclaim. Blue Run Reflection II Bourbon landed a Double Gold and Barmen 1873 Bourbon garnered Gold.

“This is the first time we have entered products to competitions as Coors Spirits Co., so we wanted to really focus on the whiskeys consumers could buy right now at retail and on our website, rather than hard-to-find, limited-edition releases,” said David Coors, Founder of Coors Spirits Co. “We are so pleased to see that these pillars of our portfolio, along with newcomer Blue Run Trifecta, stand the test of time, continuing to impress judges and whiskey fans alike.”

Blue Run High Rye Kentucky Straight Bourbon ($99.99 – 111 Proof), Trifecta Kentucky Straight Bourbon ($179.99 – 117.1 Proof), Emerald Rye Whiskey Batch II ($119.99 – 116.7 Proof) and Reflection II Kentucky Straight Bourbon ($99.99 – 100 Proof) are all available at fine spirts retails nationwide and online at https://www.bluerunspirits.com/shop

ABOUT COORS SPIRITS CO.

Coors Spirits Co. was established in 2023 to house Molson Coors’ growing spirits division as part of the company’s shift from a beer company to a total beverage company. Molson Coors’ entry into spirits began with the 2021 launch of Five Trail Blended American Whiskey, which gained quick accolades that included Double Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. In spring 2023, the company added Barmen 1873 Bourbon (a reference to the hometown of Coors Brewing founder Adolph Coors and the year he established the brewery in Golden, Colo.) to its lineup. And in August of 2023, Molson Coors acquired Blue Run Spirits of Georgetown, KY, a distiller of luxury bourbons and rye whiskies to complement the portfolio. Further innovation is planned for the years to come.
