An avid cigar smoker for over 20 years, I have worked in cigar retail for the king of boutiques at the first two locations of the Underground Cigar shop, as well as in the humidor at the first lounge built in Dallas under the Casa de Montecristo banner. Later, I transitioned into overseeing mergers, acquisitions, new store builds, and managing brands with sales under $1 million dollars in their 16+ locations. Managing everything from buildout and renovation timelines to custom blends and joint projects with many brands and factories, the experience was truly once in a lifetime. Since leaving Casa de Montecristo, I’ve helped revive a boutique cigar brand, working on inventory management and being able to remotely opine on the reblending the cigars at a new factory, and now I turn to work with the team at Leaf ‘n Grain and return to an old passion: reviewing cigars so that people can decide which ones to try next!
