Cigar Accessory Review: Upallant Dual Flame Tabletop Lighter w/V-Cut

Today, we’re reviewing the Upallant Dual Flame Tabletop Lighter with V-Cutter, available on Amazon. While the manufacturer provided this unit for review, they have no control over the content or outcome, and no specific talking points or expectations were given.

The lighter is an attractive piece, featuring a dark faux woodgrain body with black metallic hardware. The woodgrain appears to mimic Macassar, an excellent choice for a sophisticated look.

The lighter’s generous size allows it to hold a substantial amount of fluid, sufficient for several smoking sessions.

Photographing the flame can be challenging, but it features a dual jet torch design with flames that converge at a single point, making it effective for both lighting and precise touch-ups. Keep in mind that the entire flame isn’t visible in the dark, so ensure the visible flame never touches your cigar directly.

The V-cutter is efficient and quite deep, reminiscent of the Colibri V-cutters, unlike the shallower Xikar or Lotus versions. The lighter’s case includes a pass-through beneath the cutter, simplifying the process of tapping out trimmings. Additionally, it doesn’t retain any residue after use.

Overall, the Upallant lighter is a solid option from Amazon, particularly if you don’t have access to a larger brand locally. It lacks a warranty beyond Amazon’s standard return policy, but it’s reasonably priced at just under $26. With a 20% off code (QCEKSMSJ), the price drops to around $21.

After a month of use, I rate it an 88 out of 100. It’s not the best I’ve ever used, but it offers good value for its price and is a practical choice, especially if you’re prone to misplacing

 lighters.
